Is it possible to rely on Iran to help bring calm in Iraq?
Manouchehr Mohammadi, Iran’s deputy foreign minister for research, told Iran’s state-run news agency, IRNA, that Tehran’s leaders would accept that the Holocaust occurred if scholars attending the conference could prove that the Nazi regime exterminated 6 million Jews during World War II.
But Mohammadi said Iran does not deny the murders and damages caused by Hitler’s genocide, nor that 50 million people were the victims of his racism, according to IRNA...
...Mohammadi said if Iran accepts the validity of the Holocaust, the next question examined will be, “Why should the Palestinians pay for the Holocaust?”
As I was reading this today, I had to wonder what the reaction would be if Israel held a conference denying the existence of the Palestinians as a true ethnic group and in the process denying their validity of any claim to land within the confines of Judea.

Great post, thanks. Don't know if you've seen these two short videos from Iraq yet or not, but both show the US Military engaging in some very dubious actions. I have them up on my site at www.minor-ripper.blogspot.com ..You have to wonder what these soldiers were thinking when videotaping this stuff...
Well, first off it just reinforces how young soldiers really are. The testosterone laden attitude isn’t much different from some of the outrageous behavior on college campuses. The bad thing is ten instances of helping people won’t make up for or take the place in that kids memory for the lousy behavior you see in the videos. In either kids’ mind (either the one chasing after a truck for water or the one watching his dad’s car getting crushed), there probably isn’t much difference to them in regard to the brutality or cruelty of the Americans or the Republican Guards.
